Slate or tile, fully guaranteedHow we put a new roof on.
- 1
Strip it back
Scaffold up, old slates off and everything into the skip. Your house is sheeted over each night, whatever the forecast says.
- 2
Breathable felt
We check every rafter, then lay new membrane from the eaves up, each layer overlapping the last.
- 3
Fresh battens
Treated timber, spaced to suit your slate. This is what keeps the lines straight, so we measure it twice.
- 4
Slate, row by row
Every slate sorted by thickness and fixed with two copper nails, each row covering the joints below.
- 5
Finish it properly
Ridge tiles on, new lead around the chimney, gutters checked. Then we clear up and walk you through the photos.

You'll deal with the same people from start to finish.
No call centre and no sales rep. The roofer who looks at your roof is the one who prices it and comes back to do the job.
About usWhat people say after the scaffold comes down.
"Two other firms told me I needed a new roof. They replaced twelve slates and the lead, and it hasn't leaked since."
"Sent me photos of the actual problem before they quoted. The price they gave me is what I paid."
"They tidied up better than I would have. You wouldn't know they'd been, apart from the roof."
